Munich - Christmas Markets - Night
Walking around Munich Germany during Christmas at night in MAGICAL! It was so beautiful and full of Christmas joy. We had such a wonderful time with Stella exploring all the markets, getting some delicious food, and of course Glühwein. This German traditional holiday drink is so delicious and will warm you all over as it is mulled red wine with currants, and fruit zest and cinnamon and a few other "things" that make it so tasty and it is served hot in a cute little market mug. Oh, and don't get me started on the German Chocolates! So good! The candy shops are all lit up with the holiday spirit that draws you in to smell some of the best chocolate in the world. So, everything you see in all these pictures is ALL German made, there is nothing from other countries at all. All the hand-blown glass ornaments are just stunning, and the woodwork is authentic, and hand crafted including all the nutcrackers and Bavarian clocks made from wood from the Black Forest. Hand crafter and painted German Beer Stines that I need to have!
Everything we looked at took my breath away because this is not the kind of thing you ever see in a department store or city shops. All the German traditions going through generations of craftsmanship, amazing to see in person. Take all this in while walking around with a drink, chocolate covers fruit, music in the air and the smell of Christmas pine trees in the air is everywhere, it's just unforgettable.
